Day 3

Up this morning at 5.30am after a very good night's sleep. Made like a Whirling Dervish, contemplated doing yoga (but couldn't find my mat) then completely crashed five hours later. Have only left the comfort of bed to eat as I hate crumbs on the sheets. Am feeling really rough and nauseous and can't stop hiccoughing. Hair still falling, have finally beat the cats in terms of shedding. LH happy that I'm in bed resting, but I'm getting terribly frustrated.

Have been debating on whether or not I should force myself out of bed, have a bath, put on some wake-up music and if I'm feeling any better, find the mat and do yoga. I've been thinking about it for the last hour or so. Ho-hum.

Okay, that's it! I'm doing it! Wish me luck that I don't topple over...

  1. bloody hell girl I admire your tenacity. I am sure in your position (excuse the yoga pun) I would simply take to my bed, rather than bother finding my yoga mat. What's the hiccoughing all about? Is their any medical cause for this or is this an affectation now you have decided to embrace the turban a la Molly Parkin?
I hope you feel better over the BH weekend and manage to do something nice with LH, T and the gang. Even if it is just a family yoga session. You know what they say: the family that downward dog together, stay together (that sounded much less weird in my head!) lol xxxxxxxxxx

  4. Is there not something you could do from bed????? (this is NOT intended to be rude!) Your body is saying you need to rest and recuperate so you can fight again but your mind is saying don't be soft, we can beat this! You need to find some kind of middle ground between Chinot's head and Chinot's body.
And whatever you do, be it rest or action, DO IT FOR YOU, not for any of us that you think you need to prove something too.
Frankly, knowing you were tucked up under your duvet and relaxing would make me sleep easier. And I am the world's worst sleeper. SO do me a favour! L
