Oh heck

Woke up this morning with a sore throat. Unbelievable. Not on the day of my blood test to find out whether or not I'm fit for chemotherapy tomorrow! Anyway, I took everything I could to combat any infections festering inside me: two shots of wheatgrass juice, a teaspoon of LifeMel honey (I'm convinced it's a placebo, but what the hey, I'm willing to try anything), echinacea tea, vitamin C... Fingers crossed everything goes well. If not, I'm going to have to postpone the treatment which will get me quite cross indeed.

Blood test was fairly straightforward. Except that I get palpitations the moment I hit the road leading to the hospital and I hum like a madwoman whilst the blood is being siphoned off me. A-M the chemo nurse did take three tubes of blood from me - you would hum too, wouldn't you?

Hi! I thought I had been regularly receiving your blog entries through my email till Sandy told me about your entry over the weekend which I didn't receive. What a surprise when I entered the site that I had missed a lot of your entries since the 15th!

But yes, I agree with Stella-- you are still funny despite the "slump" last weekend; and that humor of yours is what will keep you going. With or without hair; with or without t_e_a_l_!

I hope they find you well enough so you can continue with your treatment tomorrow. We are continually praying for your healing.

    Love you!

  3. Well done LL (you are now lovely lady). Two down one biggie to go. Hope the chemo dip doesn't last too long but PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM YOUR BIKE at least for a wee while?!? Hope the reflexology was good and now snuggle under the duvet and rest! Lx
PS I cannot tell you how jealous I am that even with conditioner and icicles slapped all over your flattened hair and with no make up you still looked great. (I on the other hand looked like a flippin melted ice lolipop as I wandered through Waitrose with my eyeliner round my nose and my mascara on my chin. I didn't realise chemo had to be administered under tropical conditions. Next time I'll bring my bikini!!!!! That will defo take your mind off the needles)x
